Wednesday, May 31, 2017, B shift of the Goldsboro Police Department “Set up shop” at the corner of Best and East Laurel Streets in the MABC parking lot. They were loaded with cold drinks, cookies and stick-on police badges that they shared with those who stopped by. Individuals from throughout the city (Including members of MABC) came to chat with the officers and to build new bridges with members of the GPD. Several citizens were given the opportunity to operate a hand-held radar-gun and clocked cars traveling on Best Street. No tickets were issued, and the similes on the faces of all those participating were evidence of the goodtime had by all.
