Baptist Men & Women
Serve Breakfast to Volunteers from
The Goldsboro Fire Department &
the American Red Cross

Saturday morning, February 18th Tim & Deloris Lail, Mike Williford and Pastor Bob served breakfast to 40 volunteers representing the American Red Cross and the Goldsboro Fire Department. Following the meal, and a time of training from Fire Marshall, John Morton of the GFD, the team members went to homes throughout Goldsboro to install smoke detectors in the homes of over 70 families within the city. Morton stressed the importance of replacing the battery every year in every smoke detector in your home or office. (It’s recommended that homeowners use the first Sunday of November, Daylight Savings Time as a reminder to change their detector batteries.) The Fire Marshall also noted the importance of replacing any smoke detector that is more than 10 years old.)

“Don’t wait, check the date!”
